Gift Guide For Her With Village Pointe

I get a ton of questions on what our favorite things to do in Omaha are and where I like to shop. Well... the answer to that question is Village Pointe! I'm sure most of you have shopped at Village Pointe a time or two. If you haven't, you NEED to! We love shopping at Village Pointe for so many reasons! Village Pointe is a family friendly environment with a wide range of stores to shop at. With the holidays quickly approaching, I thought it would be fun to round up my favorite gifts for HER from a variety of stores at Village Pointe. Finding the perfect gift can be hard but I've made things easy for you this year!

I found the perfect wine glasses ON SALE at Pier1. They have such a great variety to choose from. I love the home decor and kitchen essentials! This is a great place to stop for someone who loves to cook, drink wine, or loves a great variety of home decor. Throw blankets are always a fun and cozy gift to give. Here is one from Peir1 that I am loving!

I love to shop for Blakely at GAP! I got her the cutest little beanie, mitten, shoes, and reindeer slippers. Not only do they have the cutest stuff for the littles in your life, but also for mom, grandma, sister, and friends!

Sephora is my favorite places to shop for the beauty lover. Who doesn't love a new lip shade, or fun face mask to pamper themselves with? Do you have a girl on your list who loves perfume? Yep, Sephora has that too!  During the holidays Sephora also has a variety of gift sets at great prices. Here are two of my favorites - #1 and #2. I picked up the NARS pallet that has a bronzer (that is perfect for contouring) blush and a highlighter. This is a great everyday makeup pallet that you can't go wrong with giving as a gift. I also picked up a mini Drunk Elephant Baby Facial resurfacing face mask that came with a facial oil. These mini boxes are a great gift for under $25! These also make great stocking stuffers!

Scheels is perfect for the whole family but they have some great Nike pullovers that I grabbed as gifts. I don't know about you all, but I live in sweatshirts and I always feel that they are a great gift to give. If you haven't checked it out yet, their toddler section is to die for. They have a range of Nike, Adidas, and Under Armor that is all so cute for toddlers. I've been getting Blakely a lot of that stuff lately because it's comfy for her to wear during the colder months. I love the variety of brands that Scheels carries. When I was in Scheels last weekend, I saw that they are now carrying Alo Yoga which is one of my favorite athleisure brands. They have THE best leggings!

I also love shopping at Kendra Scott (SOOO excited to have this store at Village Pointe) Francesca's, Banana Republic, American Eagle, Lululemon, Bath and Body Works, Evereve, and Old Navy. There are so many options and you only have to drive to ONE place. How easy is that?!

Going to Village Pointe has made Christmas shopping SO easy. Its a one-stop shop for everyone on your list. If you still aren't sure what to get her, stop into Village Pointe's main office and grab a Village Pointe gift card for her to use at any store there.

5 things you probably don't know about me

1. I am a clean freak - There is no better feeling than a clean and organized house. I love to have things organized and in a certain spot. I have to pick up the house before I can go to bed because I can't stand waking up to a mess. Don't get me wrong, my house is never perfect... especially with a toddler. I just function much better when things are cleaned, picked up, and organized.

2. I grew up with very little - My parents were divorced my whole life. My mom lived in Nebraska and my dad lived in Virginia. Being a mom now, and looking back, I don't know how my parents did it alone. I do know that things weren't easy and that my parents did the best that they could. I actually had a really tough time growing up. Between moving all the time, switching schools, and dealing with my parents struggling, things weren't always easy. I went to school in a very wealthy part of Virginia where most kids had two parents, a nice house, and all wore Limited Too (remember those Limited Too days?!!). This was not my case, I was always sad that I didn't have the things that they did. I was made fun of for the clothes that I wore and the things that I didn't have. As a kid, this is so hard to go through.
I also didn't have a very good relationship with my mom when I was younger. Today, I am closer with my mom today than ever before. After having a baby, I needed her more than ever.
All of these experiences that I went through have made me the person that I am today. Because of my past, I strive to work hard and cherish nice things. I couldn't sit back and wait for things to happen for me. I had work hard to create the life that I wanted so badly for myself, my family and our future.

3. I graduated high school in 3 years - I was not a fan of school. I always struggled to learn and hated being the new kid all of the time. I would take every "sick" day that I could. Towards the end of high school, I begged my mom to let me drop out. I am glad she never let me do that because I took things into my own hands. I was determined to get out of there as soon as I could. I decided to take Summer school and extra classes in the mornings so that I could graduate a year early and guess what.... I DID IT!

4. I am a planner- I have to plan my days, how things are going to go, and how I am going to get them done. I am not a spontaneous person at all. I honestly wish I wasn't like this. Although it keeps me organized and productive... I just wish I could go with the flow.

5. I met my husband when I was 18 - I always knew that I would get married young. I wanted to start my own life as soon as I could. My first impression of Zach was not exactly how I had hoped. Let's just say.. he didn't make the best first impression and I told myself that I would never date him (haha). Well... almost 9 years later, here we are! He somehow made up for his bad first impression and I fell in love with him. I couldn't imagine life without him and the life that we have created together. Zach and I got engaged at 21 and married each other 11 months later. We have now been married for 5 years. We truly make the best team!
