His & Hers Valentines Day Gift Guide

Hi Loves,  I am honestly so surprised that most of you wanted to see a guys gift guide. I decided to do a post with both of them together. Now you can shop for him or her all in one spot. I love buying gifts but I am the worst at keeping secrets. I usually give gift before I am supposed to because I get so excited. Zach and I love buying stuff for each other but I really love that Zach gets to buy stuff for his little girl, too. Ihyyyyyt just melts my heart. Zach has those Adidas shoes in black and they are his absolute favorite! If your man wears watches, a new one is always a good idea. Its always my go-to gift.

I also created this as a little HINT for Zach to buy off of too! Hey Babe, hope you are reading... because I am dying for those wedges ;)

I just ordered that Soulmate sweatshirt for myself and I am really excited to wear it. I just love the colors in it + it will be fun to wear on Valentines Day.  I always love receiving flowers but if you wanted to get a little extra something to surprise her, all of the things that I listed are great options. I hope this helps make shopping a little easier for you!!

Looking At The Positive Side

One of my biggest goals for 2018 is to stay positive. I am always looking at the negative when situations don't go my way. Instead of always looking at the negatives, I really want to try and look at the positives as much as possible. I tend to be a person who has to be in control of everything. I love to have control of my life, the way my career is going, the way my routine is, etc. Ever since I became a mama, all of that changed for me. I don't have as much control over everything and I have to learn that it's okay. I'm really not a go with the flow kind of person and I am very much a routine kind of girl. There are times where my day doesn't go smoothly because Blakley doesn't feel good, or she decided she doesn't want to take a nap, or I'm not getting the work done that I had hoped to. When situations like these happen, I am trying to focus on more of the positive and not getting down on myself because I can't get work done, or I didn't send a certain amount of emails out that I had hoped. The positive would be getting to spend time with Blakely. She isn't going to be little forever and I need to cherish every minute that I do get to spend with her.  Looking at the positives instead of the negatives will help me have a better attitude towards things and I feel that I can accomplish more with a positive attitude. If you are feeling down about something or something isn't quite working out how you had hoped just remember there is always a positive side to the situation. Maybe it wasn't meant to be, maybe you need to work harder, or simly change something. There are always ways to get the negativity out of a situation as long as you are willing to look at the positive side of things. Postive thinking can improve overall happiness.

“Having a positive mental attitude is asking how something can be done rather than saying it can’t be done.”

On another note, I found a new pair of jeans this weekend and I couldn't wait to share them with you all. They are more of a relaxed fit denim and I love the wash for Spring. You can style them dressed down, or dressed up as I did this weekend. I am wearing a size 25 but  I wish I would have gone down a size after wearing them. They are high-waisted, but a little big around my waist.  I have linked all of my outfit details below. Happy Sunday, and I hope you all have an amazing week!!

How much time do you get to spend with your daughter?

I get to spend a lot of time with Blakely and I wouldn't want it any other way. I work from home so I am almost always around her. My mom comes 3 days a week to watch her, which helps so much. The 3 days that she comes I really try and get as much work done as possible. The other two days that she is not here are a little harder and I try to get a lot of my work done during nap time. I am so grateful that I get to be home with her every single day.

How do you balance everything?

This is such a great question. This is what I struggle with the most. I try my best to balance mom life, Foi, and blogging.  There are many days that I struggle. I get frustrated, stressed and overwhelmed a lot of the time. I try to work as hard as possible when I do have help around. I work a lot. I don't watch TV or anything like that so when I do have some downtime, I am either planning for the next day or catching up on emails. I am a workaholic. I love working but somedays I get major mom guilt for working too much. I am still trying to find the perfect balance that fits my life as a mom and entrepreneur.

What is the best face moisturizer?

I am currently using this one. I have really dry skin, especially in the Winter. This one has really worked well for me. It is a little pricey but the quality is amazing and it truly keeps my face hydrated all day.

When will you have baby #2?

I don't know yet. Maybe sometime this year?  I just started a new chapter in my life, I feel that I need to put my full focus into that right now. Blakely keeps us plenty busy right now but I want her to be semi-close to her sibling(s). As most of you know, we struggled to get pregnant with Blakely so I really don't want to wait too long just in case it doesn't happen exactly when we want it to. I know that God has his own plan for our family and if it doesn't happen on our timing, it will happen on his.

What is your favorite comfy outfit for everyday mom life?
I live in Lululemon leggings and a crew neck sweatshirt during this time of the year.

What do you do for fitness?
To be honest, I don't do a lot. I work out here and there, but I have been really bad about getting into a routine ever since I had Blakely. I am so worn out at the end of the day that the last thing I want to do is workout. I eat decently healthy and keep active throughout the day. When I do workout, I either workout with my husband in our basement or I do the BBG workout which I really love.

How did you start Foi?

This has definitely been the most asked question. I started Foi years ago. I had a dream and made that dream come to life. I was 22 years old, newly married and still in school. Back then, Instagram was so different. When I started, I didn't even have a site.  I had people leave a comment with their emails and sizes. I would then send them an invoice. I started with very little money and I worked my way up. One of the things that created my success was that I was not afraid to take risks. If you want something bad enough you will do anything and everything to make it work. It wasn't easy. It still isn't easy. I have different struggles today than I did back then but I have to go with the flow of life and do the best that I can.  It is so fun to see something you have worked so hard for grow into something amazing. Don't ever give up or believe that you cant do something because YOU CAN! It takes passion, determination, and hard work but all of those things will create success.

Makeup Products That I Love

I get a ton of questions about my makeup, so I figured I would start off with a blog post. I LOVE makeup. It is always so fun to try new products. Today I am sharing my favorites of what I have tried so far and what works for me. I am not a makeup artist or professional but I love having fun with makeup.

I feel that foundation is the most important part of a makeup routine. It creates the first layer, and it's important for it to feel good on your skin. I have tried a lot of different foundations and nothing compares to the Chanel CC cream. It is full coverage but does not feel or look cakey. I use the CC cream year round. It also has 50 SPF in it so it protects your skin from the sun.

I finally caved in and tried the Tarte shape tape concealer. It lives up to the hype. It is a good product, and easy to blend in. I top it with the Laura Mercier translucent powder to set it. I don't wear concealer every day unless I am shooting photos or going out (which is never... because... #momlife).

When it comes to lips, I love exploring new colors. I have an addiction to a few things. Lipstick is one of them. Putting on lipstick just completes the look and brightens your entire face. It is also so fun to match colors to your outfit. I love wearing red during the holidays, but I typically buy pinks. I ordered a lip topper this past week, and fell in love with it. It actually smells so good. I apply it to the middle of my lips to make them appear larger.

I could go on for days talking about makeup products.  I'll leave it short and sweet and maybe go into more depth in the future. If you ladies are interested in  a makeup video let me know below. Comment on my last Instagram. I would love to do one.

I  just wanted to thank you all for the support during this time. I have a passion to blog. I believe one has to chase their dreams and do what truly moves them. that is what I am doing.  Some people have been really confused about what is going on with my Instagram and Foi.  Foi is still up and running. I am just taking a little transition time to get my another career started. There will be new arrivals next week.  I can't wait for you all to see them! If you aren't already, please follo2 Foi's new Instagram.

Life is All About Taking Risks

When life changes, sometimes you have to change with it. As most of you know, I am the owner of Foi Clothing. I had a baby 16 months ago and my life changed forever. I started Foi Clothing Boutique 4 years ago. I was 22 years old, newly married and ready to chase my dreams. I was scared and really unsure if I could run a successful business. Fast forward 4 years and I look at my life and truly can't believe what I have accomplished, and goals that I checked off my list. I am SO incredibly thankful for everything, but when life changes, sometimes you have to change with it.

I have decided to make a big change, so here it goes...

I launched my blog last year with it being a hobby and something fun to do. Since starting it, I have really enjoyed the creative aspect of it and the endless amount of opportunities that lie ahead. I see so much potential in blogging, and really feel that it fits well into my life as a mom today.

I am excited to announce that I will now be blogging full time and turning Foi's current Instagram page into my blogging platform.

I'm sure you are thinking.. well what about Foi!? Don't worry, it's not going anywhere. I have created a new Instagram account for Foi, and hope that you will all continue to follow along with Foi's new Instagram page. Foi turns 4 years old this month, and I can't believe it. I started Foi from the very bottom and worked my way to where it is today. I'm excited to start this new and exciting journey with blogging and continue Foi, just on a smaller level. I'm sure some of you have noticed a change throughout this past month and that was because of the transition I was making in my personal life to make this all happen. I am offering 50% off of the ENTIRE site now-Thursday Jan 4th until our batch of new arrivals goes live. (Code: ILoveFoi)

I seriously can't thank each and every one of you for supporting my business, my family, and me personally throughout these past 4 amazing years. With blogging comes all new opportunities, relationships, and a new chapter. I have big goals for myself and this new journey of mine. A lot of my goals require me to step out of my comfort zone. I want to create YouTube videos (so scared to do this), new fashion finds, and a look into my life. I am just as scared, as I am excited to start this new chapter of my life and I really hope that you all will continue to follow along with me. Although my heart is beating a million miles a minute as I am writing this,  I have to continue to remind myself that the greatest successes come from stepping outside of your comfort zone.

I am so excited for 2018 and can't wait to start this new journey with you all.

If you have any questions regarding Foi, please feel free to email

Everything will remain the same with Foi including new arrivals, credit codes, gift cards etc.

Olive Ruffle Sweater

Happy New Year! It feels so good to have a fresh start to everything. I always love the motivation to be better, do better, and work harder (with a little help of Starbucks ;) possibilities are endless). I finally have my holiday decorations down, and a clean house which feels so good. Does anyone else ever feel like their house is empty after taking it all down?

On another note, I am wearing the cutest olive ruffle shoulder sweater. It comes in 3 amazing colors, and the fit is so perfect. I am wearing an XS small here. I get so many questions on these booties. They are sold out, but I linked a very similar pair below. If you notice something different, it is because I got extensions put in. I lost so much hair after having Blakely and I felt like my hair was so flat. A change is always nice, and I feel like my hair has life again.
I hope you all have an amazing start to the new year, and I can't wait to see what 2018 has in store for me and my family this year.
